How can I get fare & schedule
information? Fare and schedule information may be found
through this website (start at our
main route index) or by
telephoning Scandinavia Express Information department at our
Terminal, Dar-es-Salaam (+255) -
22- 2184833 or (+255) - 748 - 218484/5 or closest regional
office (see a list of our
offices).
An updated version
of our timetable is presently being arranged and should soon be
available from our main terminal in Dar-es-Salaam or from any of our
regional offices. They can also be requested by post from:

When arriving at the terminal, at what time
should I check in? Each departure point has minimum check-in
times varying between 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Check for your
particular point
here. Plan to
arrive at the terminal at least one hour before departure time. This
will allow you time to purchase the ticket (if you haven't already
done so), check baggage at the
counter and carry your carry-on bag to the side of the coach upon boarding.
Please ensure that each piece of your luggage has an ID tag
attached.
How can I find my closest Scandinavia Express office or terminal?

Are there any discount or children fares? No, but this will
be reviewed during 2005.
May children travel alone on
Scandinavia Express? Yes, under the following conditions and
provided that a reservation is confirmed and the ticket is purchased
at least three days in advance.
UNACCOMPANIED MINOR CONDITIONS:
Any passenger
under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a passenger at least 15
years of age or older at all times. Passengers between the ages of 8
and 14 years of age inclusive, may travel unaccompanied at full
adult fare provided the following conditions are met in their entirety:
- The child's trip will begin and end on the same schedule
(no intermediate transfers).
- The child's trip will be no longer than five (5) hours in
duration.
- The child's trip (origin to destination) must take place
during daylight hours only.
- Both the origin and destination stations
must be Scandinavia Express offices.

The destination station must be open at the time the child
is scheduled to arrive.
- Parent, Guardian or Legal Custodian of the child must complete
and sign the Unaccompanied Child Form authorizing the child to
make the trip and return this to the Customer Service Supervisor
on duty. This form specifically names the person authorizing the
trip and the person meeting the child at the destination station
and the telephone number(s) at which this person may be contacted.
It also provides an emergency contact name and telephone number in
the event it is needed.
- In order for the child to be released at the destination, the
person named on the Unaccompanied Child Form as the one meeting
the child must have positive picture identification, such as a
driver's license or state issued identification card, and provide
such to the agent at the destination station. Without such
identification, the child will be released into the custody of
Child Protective Services or to local law enforcement officials in
the destination city.
If any of the above conditions are not met, then the
child
must be accompanied by a passenger at least 15 years of age or older
in order to travel.
Does Scandinavia
Express guarantee its departure and
arrival times? No. While Scandinavia Express makes every effort to
provide on-time service, it does not guarantee its departure and
arrival times, which may be delayed by any number of factors,
including weather, traffic or mechanical problems.
